Description:: Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) President Danny Donohue addressing a rally for permanent pension COLA (Cost of Living Adjustment) for all public employee retirees in New York State. Thousands of members and retirees attended the rally held near the State Capitol in Albany, New York. Donohue chaired the AFL-CIO Pension Task Force and served on the Governor's task force, which recommended action. In August 2000, New York Governor George E. Pataki signed into law pension reforms granting the cost of living adjustment to all public employee retirees, ending a 20-year CSEA drive to enact the legislation. The CSEA is New York State's largest union.
