Background

Scope and Content:

The collection includes the organizational records of the Emeritus Center, including by-laws, proposals, and founding documents. It also includes programs for the emeritus center's annual research program as well as other Center events.

Biographical / Historical:

Established in 2006, the University at Albany's Emeritus Center is an association of retired faculty, administrators and professionals who have been granted emeritus status. The Center is named for Philosophy Professor William L. Reece, and encourages emeriti to continue pursuing the Universitys mission of teaching, research, and service.

Acquisition information:

All items in this collection were transferred to the University Libraries, M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections and Archives in 2015.
