- Scope and Content:
This collection contains the accreditation reports dating from the years 1938-2010. The information in these reports pertains to evaluaitons of the degree programs, the physical campus, and the other facilities.Mixed in witht he reports are select pieces of correspondence from within the University as these reports were disseminated to faculty and staff. There are also self-study reports there were done in tandem with the evaluations. These documents were typically written in preparation of the arrival of the evaluation team. They discuss the intedned gaols to be reached as a result of the evaluation, and those topics to be focused on the most.
- Biographical / Historical:
Collection is made up of the accreditation reports from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. One of the many functions performed by this group was the accreditation of Universities and colleges to maintain their quality of learning and maintain their status. Teams were sent to evaluate universities and colleges and submit a report on their findings to the Association and the institution investigated. This group performed these reports until 2013 when their Commission on Higher Education broke off and created its own insititution exclusively committed to the accreditation of colleges.
