Governor Smith Signs Bill To Build Milne, Page, And Richardson Halls

Governor Al Smith announces he will sign bill sponsored by Senator Sage authorizing the State Education Department to acquire options on the land where Milne, Page, and Richardson Halls would be built. The total purchase price for lots was not to exceed $75,000. The total cost of the land appears to have been $70,000, consisting of an initial appropriation of $5,000, and a subsequent appropriation of $65,000 to acquire the property. The last deed for the property was passed on April 29, 1922.
