Nancy Hoffman, hired as the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA)'s general counsel in 1988, retired in December 2011. Former Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) activist Greg Szurnicki who died recently at age 83. Szurnicki began his public career as an attendant at the now defunct Kings Park Psychiatric Center in New York City. He went on to become president of the CSEA local there and the union became his passion. He is particularly remembered for the many years he served as chairman of the Statewide Election Committee.
