- The Albany River Rats' hockey team mascot, Rowdy, taking pledges during a fund-raiser for tsunami victim relief efforts. The mini-telethon held at the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) Headquarters raised more than $100,000 that day, with CSEA activists, staff and Rowdy taking pledges. The CSEA is New York State's largest union.
