Donna Mead, a Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA)-represented school aide at the Port Jervis School District in Orange County, is being honored by her co-workers for saving a kindergarten student's life. When Mead noticed the boy, Matthew Fitterer, choking on cereal, she jumped into action and within seconds she successfully performed the Heimlich Maneuver on the child.
