John J. Kelly was the dinners toastmaster. Kelly was a young well-regarded Albany attorney who served as CSEA counsel during the 1950s. CSEAs J. J. Kelly Memorial Scholarship Fund was created when he died unexpectedly, leaving behind a widow and several young children.
