Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) recently hosted two Korean researchers from the Korea Institute of Public Administration studying American public employee unions. South Korean federal workers recently won the right to collectively bargain. The two spoke with CSEA representatives about collective bargaining, dues collection, labor-management relations and other issues. The award is given to CBTU members in recognition of their commitment to the CBTU agenda and all AFL-CIO constituency groups. Across New York state, Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) members are showing up wherever the Governor appears to protest and confront him about his threat to lay off 8,700 state employees. Union members are also holding rallies and demonstrations in front of the offices of legislative leaders who are backing the governor's plan.
