The vigil was held at Central Park in New York City on September 11, 2002. Coinciding with the vigil was the 2002 CSEA Annual Delegates Meeting. Boncoraglio was given CBTU Long Island's Leadership Award for his tireless pursuit of equality and diversity for all working people. The CSEA is New York State's largest union.
