Rochester supporters included Assemblyman Joseph D. Morelle and State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio. The Quality Care campaign is necessary because of an epidemic in turnover rates ? up to 40 percent annually among front line employees of many not-for-profit agencies that threaten the long-term quality standards of services and care.

The sanitizers were installed after an outbreak of MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) was reported in the school district. CSEA members working in schools and health care facilities across New York state are challenged to protect the public from the dangerous MRSA infections on a daily basis.
