Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA)'s Village of Irvington Unit is implementing new safety procedures. Unit President Todd Smith said the unit has created a safety committee that now meets regularly. Unit members, who work in the villages Department of Public Works, Water Department and Park's Department, have undergone trainings led by CSEA Occupational Safety and Health Department staff. Smith said the unit recently bought safety green colored winter CSEA jackets for workers in an effort to increase visibility of workers on sanitation routes and other road work.
