This series contains materials pertaining to the solid waste incinerator proposed by American Ref-Fuel Company in the town of Green Island, New York. The bulk of the series consists of documents relating to the case Concerned Citizens for the Environment vs. New York State Department of Environmental Conservation & American Ref-Fuel Company, in which CCE charged the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation with improperly issuing a permit for the incinerator. These documents are primarily court documents from the case and the resulting appeals, but also include correspondence with the law firm representing CCE. The remainder of the series consists of background materials for the case and publicity materials opposing the incinerator.

The series contains research notes, correspondence, photographs, manuscripts, and exhibit research pertaining to Dr. Brown's historical work on women scientists. The series also includes source materials from the late 19th century and early 20th century used by Dr. Brown in her research.

This series contains material on bills that Daniel Button sponsored and/or voted for, including vote tallies and statements of his support in Congressional records. Many of these bills are attached to supplemental materials such as correspondence.

This series contains records related to the Hudson Valley Area Joint Board. This series is divided into four sub-series. The first sub-series contains the subjetc files of the Joint Board. The second sub-series contains records relating to the Textile Workers Union of America (TWUA), also known as the Amalgamated Clothing and Textiles Workers Union (ACTWU). The third sub-series cotnains local chapter files and the fourth sub-series is contains records associated with the union councils of the AFL-CIO.

This series contains the records of the Hudson Valley District Council of Carpenters which was chartered on May 4, 1949 when the Ulster and Vicinity Council as well as some other Locals combined.New locals and independent locals continued to affiliate with the district council, and by the early 1950's the district council represented carpenters in Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Greene, Sullivan, and Ulster counties. The records include minutes of meetings of the district council, contracts, and bylaws. This series also contains printed matter and material related to jurisdictional disputes with other carpenters' district councils. Minutes, a few contracts, and some other material in this series have been photocopied, and the originals have been returned to the Council.

This series contains briefs, court transcripts, evidence, testimony, and other materials from legal cases. Manley was involved in most, if not all, of these cases. The cases concern a number of topics, several of which were related to Native American issues. Other cases include Calmes, Becker, Zehler v. Lehnis, and Trzecieski v. The State of New York, in which a dairy farmer made a claim for financial compensation after losing part of his herd to bovine tuberculosis.

Legislation introduced by Assemblyman Volker with related correspondence, notes, reports, clippings and printed matter. The dates on the finding aid correspond to the date of the respective bill's introduction, although related materials in each folder may encompass different dates.

This series consists of legislation that Curran sponsored. Most of the files include draft or final copies of the bill, fact sheets, and memos. These memos are addressed to various parties, such as other legislators. A few press releases are included as well as the Joint Committee to Revise Banking Law reports from 1967 and 1968 and related supplementary materials. This supplemental material consists largely of committee testimony.

Series 1: Legislative Files is divided into three Sub-series: Sub-series 1: Chemical Additives in Food and Drug contains legislative files, news clippings and correspondence from Delaney's campaign to have cancer-causing agents banned from food, drugs and cosmetics; Sub-series 2: Education Files focuses on Delaney's support of Federal Aid for public and private education including the tuition voucher system and consists of news clippings, House Resolution (H.R.) jackets, and correspondence; and Sub-series 3: Subject Files consist of statements, releases, H.R. jackets and correspondence that relate to various political issues of interest to Delaney.
