This series includes records concerning applications to buy land over the Great Flats Aquifer that the city of Schenectady and the town of Rotterdam submitted in order to protect their water supply. Includes correspondence, hearing transcripts, intervention papers, reply briefs, and post-hearing briefs.
Political Materials and Oversized Items, 1888-1951, Undated 2.09 cubic ft.
This series contains materials related to Bennet's various political campaigns as well as several oversized and fragile items. It includes a folder of speeches delivered by Bennet to the New York State Assembly in 1901-1902, several folders of material on Bennet's unsuccessful 1936 campaign for the Republican Vice Presidential nomination, and collections of political memorabilia from various campaigns. In addition, it includes several large scrapbooks, the transcription of an oral history interview with Bennet, tax reports from the town of Newburgh, a ledger dating from the late nineteenth century, and a collection of certificates documenting Bennet's election to various offices.

This series represents a plethora of public welfare programs. There is correspondence between the many departments of social services as well as reports on specific county programs. Programs include the Child Health Assurance Program (CHAP), the State Human Investment Program (SHIP), Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), Home Relief, Medicaid, Child Support, Food Stamps, Job Training, Employment and Homeless Issues, and a few county files. Of note is an important case study of public welfare that was conducted in Newburgh, New York in 1961; a folder is dedicated to this study.
Research Materials, 1943-2002 14.4 cubic ft.
Series 2 documents the research Dr. Blanchard conducted while he was working at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and the State University of New York at Albany. The work that he did while at General Electric is mentioned but not specifically covered. The main focus of Dr. Blanchards research was on the nature of bubbles and water drops but he also conduct studies on volcanic electricity and its effects. To conduct this research, he travelled throughout the Northeast and Hawaii. Along with the research he did in the United States, Dr. Blanchard also traveled internationally to collected data. A large part of his international research was done around Surtsey Volcano in Iceland.

This series is a collection of photocopied court reports on death sentence cases from 1991 to 1997. These records were collected from Federal Reporter, 2nd or 3rd Series, Daily Appellate Report, and California Supreme Court. These records provide information on each death row case argued and determined in the United State Courts of Appeals.
