The three leaders in the race for the
Field Day Queen title are Marie Swee-
ney with 13,500 points; Betty Colandra,
. 8,600, and Doris Dissosway, .6,750, ac-
cording to the latest figures announced
by the Activities Committee. .
Votes will be accepted until 4 p. m.
Sunday: at the field, but not'a minute

1947 Car, Radios to Be Prizes;
Banner Attendance Predicted
“The sale of tickets for Local 301’s first post-war
Field Day, Sunday, June 30 at Pete and Sally’s Grove
_indicates a record turn-out, the Activities Committee
“in charge of the outing reported today.
One big reason is the 1947 Studebaker which
will be the chief prize awarded during the day.
There is also considerable interest in the five table
radios and other smaller prizes. © ~~ : ,
Starting at 10 a. m. and ending at midnight,
the program will be jammed with games, sports and
entertainment. There’s all the room in the world
to picnic, the committee announced, and there will
be refreshments on sale all day and evening. Danc-
. ; ing will start at 8 p.m. and there will
be a free floor show.
Another drawing card is the contest
for Field Day Queen in which nine girls
are competing.
The committee has adopted the motto
“never a dull moment,” according to
Foster Campbell, chairman, and has ar-
yanged entertdiiment for~ all age
groups, from junior to grandpa.
The committee, in addition to Chair-
man ‘Campbell, includes: Lucy Swatling,
