- Left to right are Charles Hansen, Edward Alfonsin, Sam Wakshull, Rosalynn Carter, Leonard Krouner, and Joseph Drew attending a United University Professions (UUP) Delegate Assembly. Charles Hansen served on the UUP Executive Board from 1977 to 1980, and was Vice President for Professionals from 1980 to 1982. Edward Alfonsin was UUP Secretary from 1975 to 1980, Membership Development Chair from 1981 to 1987, and served on the Executive Board from 1987 to 1997. Sam Wakshull was UUP president from 1975 to 1981. Rosalynn Carter, wife of Jimmy Carter, President of the United States from 1977-1981, was First Lady during the time of the event. Joseph Drew was UUP Treasurer from 1975 to 1981.
