Tom Hobart, John M. "Tim" Reilly, and Herb Magidson having a conversation. Hobart was president of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) from 1973 to 2005. Reilly served as United University Professions (UUP) president from 1987 to 1993 and prior to that was a member of UUP's Executive Board from 1983 to 1987. Reilly had been a chief union negotiator and chaired the Negotiations Committee, and was credited with winning TIAA-CREF pension reform. He was also a vice president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and a board member of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT).
