- Like the Red Book, the Congressional Directory gives an overview of the various committees in the U.S. Congress and politicians who led those committees. It also includes data from the sessions spanning back to the first Congress. These books are quick reference guides as they provide the user with a handy tabulated format that allows for ease in paging to the appropriate topic.
