- The MHANYS Self Help Clearinghouse (SHC) Program was funded by the New York State Office of Mental Health to enable people with mental illness to pursue self-help and mutual aid efforts. This program involved the support of local self-help clearinghouses and distribution of information on self-help and mutual aid.
