Well this is the name to the land of the Coblerfritzers.
In the late 1980s, the Stiff Monday by Sheldon, the Orlando County Jail, I've been talking
about Mike Fisher and his experiences related to Fisher.
At the end of the last day, I was talking about what I was doing.
And it's nice relating to you, Mike Rival, and me taking a child of jail on the base of
the courthouse of the Hickie County Courthouse in the Aspen, Teller, Rival.
By the way, I was television, I've got a fan of the Sea Island.
And one more hour, I'm going to have to shut down for a Atlantic platform.
I simply cannot fly the planet.
I don't know what I'm trying to stick to the top of a Atlantic fishing.
The Atlantic contact I had with the Atlantic fishing was numerous, but we're confined to the courtroom.
He testified on a couple of occasions, the first of which the preliminary hearing held before church floor on the Campbell case.
And while this doesn't have anything to do with Fisher, I think it's interesting that if you read the transcript of the preliminary hearing in the Campbell case, how thoroughly he was accredited as an investigator.
If chiefly with respect to the rather amateurish way he handled Christmas harder, and was allegedly really the king ten of their case.
She was the limited fit she saw a man or man standing by an elevator, a one evening at Stilman's, Colorado.
On evening that Karen Campbell disappeared, it was a year later when she returned to Stilman's for the same convention, the same type of convention they had in her fire, that a photo display was shown to her and she picked up my photo as being the man standing by the elevator.
You have to compare to really appreciate how badly Fisher handled this situation.
You must compare the language in the embassies in the Campbell case with the testimony which actually came out at the preliminary hearing.
Basically, not unusually I guess, Fisher grossly exaggerated the state that's made by Miss Harder with respect to her photo identification and the circumstances which gave rise to that identification.
Of course, when she was, when this harder was a court and this harder was a court mask to make a identification, she failed to identify me.
She also said that she had never told Michael Fisher that she had to let me information that she was sure what she had seen.
She said it was dark, she never got a good look at the man, the man she had seen, that she was in the 40 feet away from the man she had seen.
And that the photo she picked out, she picked out is only remotely resembling the man she had seen and could not have in any way she had performed to that person in the picture.
The picture that photo was in fact the man she had seen.
Of course, the representation of Fisher must have made the law to get the information in the first place before it different.
Then those which were later established during the preliminary hearing, it's not my short experience with the field of police investigation.
The embarrassment suffered by the prosecution and that preliminary hearing as a result of Fisher's haphazard vague investigation is the worst I have seen in any case.
The case that I have never been the object of, or the bottom line of that the handling of this harder was that she not only failed to identify me in the courtroom or that she did not identify me in the courtroom but in fact, it identified me under Sheriff who had a company made from Utah to Aspen just a few weeks before.
The name of the sheriff was Ben Myers by the way.
A law enforcement official, questionable character.
He had to help a number of jobs who had been in the variety of law enforcement agencies throughout his career and they were a number of rumors most probably unsubstantied of course as far as I can say.
The attorney misconduct in the areas, agency that is employed interestingly enough the last position he had helped before coming to Aspen was before coming to the Picking County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff was as chief police in Grand Junction, Colorado where there had been a series of murders of young women.
My understanding is he took a great deal of pressure with the dirt on it for the failure of his department to solve these murders but I don't believe that was the sole reason for him leaving.
I think a well investigation of his past might trample on trash and a lot of dirt that doubted it would really mean anything to this case.
Since Ben Myers himself is not a factor in the investigation or prosecution of my case, other than the fact that he was identified it both resembled the man that this is harder saw in the night.
I saw a fisher on numerous occasions both in the courtroom.
The attorney misconduct in Aspen during the many months had died 10th of pre-trial hearings there. The only occasion for this was when he testified that I could recall with the occasion of the plumber hearing.
But it seems that the issue was always present either with bringing the year of Tucker one of the special attorneys that have been delicated to try the case for a fisher or sitting somewhere in the front row of the courtroom.
He was clear he had a personal interest in the case and I have been told all the life that I can't say this is a personal experience but I have been told that he had developed something of a close friendship with the fiance, a former fiance of Karen Campbell.
I always got the feeling that despite his rather laid back manner and his rather tall and long and forced demeanor that he was deeply devoted and dedicated to obtaining a conviction of me as a case.
There were no words in the labels after the plumber hearing and asked but of course there were no words contacts with Michael Fisher which I will relate to you.
As I go along to the state but I think I'll pause at this point to try to give you my impression that he had based upon my contact but his impression of his personality.
But in general feeling for in many ways I don't know. Certainly I had something I was disliked for because obviously one of my eyes was just in my best interest in life.
I felt so awful on my felt that if that did not seem to be equipped to handle the job that you had taken on for.
So it's hard for me to describe that feeling any further. I wouldn't call when I felt awful and I was so sad that I was not trying to say but I just felt that when I looked at the man and listened to him and watched him.
I couldn't believe that he was actually someone that delegated the serious responsibility of conducting a serious investigation of a serious criminal case.
Certainly appearance is hard to see but in fish case. It's appearance I think was reflected in his ability.
After the day that I arrived in the afternoon Fisher asked me a fellow to talk to him. He and I never spoke directly again until I captured after last eight from that in the early July 1977.
I never saw it back in jail area in the western cat in the Pithy Cat in jail where I was being held. I really saw him in the sheriff's office.
This may be because the prosecuting attorney's office where he worked was in a building maybe 15 yards away from the courthouse itself.
But there was no doubt that whether he was experienced or not or whether he had the ability or not or whether he was really a police butler or law enforcement officer or someone who's fancyed himself as a law enforcement officer.
There is no doubt that he's an active and major role not the major role in investigating the Karen Campbell case.
He was a believer he was present. He was just a drug to the keeping Tom Polisman.
I believe he was present at the autopsy of Karen Campbell although I can't say for sure. I know he was present at the scene when her body was discovered.
I know that he examined a number of items of evidence for trace materials.
One time a vehicle rented by a friend of Campbell's fiancee was examined for him.
There are another debris which may have been being mined with a candle with a contact with that vehicle.
I know for instance that he tried to track down a number of suspects other than myself. This will be a report that you will find.
I read the book and revealed a good deal more of the things he was doing during the period of time before he became a suspect.
I know that he took the hair sample found in my car later back to Washington DC to be examined.
Or I know I can't take my statement.
I know that he did a great deal of investigation, specifics in which I'm not familiar but I believe at one time he represented to me that he had another investigator checked every hotel in the hotel on the AFP.
The vicinity to the sea weather.
My cell for someone might be in the city minuscription and registered there.
Now I'm sure he did a little of a luminance amount of work. I wish I knew everything he had done.
It might be some value to me in that case.
In that case, in the picture, ever again, I know of course they traced down my credit cards.
They came up with the credit card that he believed he was going to be in the place of England with the brains on the credit card.
The place in Glenwood Springs, Colorado on the day that the carrying camels last seen.
I believe he also traveled back to Michigan to the area where the carrying camels from along that shore.
My discovery records indicate that he sent out literally hundreds of letters to different law enforcement agencies requiring about the camel case.
Many letters to agencies who follow up beliefs on different suspects.
I would say he was no question but he was chief investigator in the UK.
Gaged to the enormous amount of work in that case both before and after the time I became a suspect.
This should be reflected in the camp of his deportation.
They should be reflected in many of the documents I collected while in Colorado.
One cannot fault him for being diligent.
I'll be an amateurish but diligent in pursuit of solving the carrot camel.
The problem he had was twofold one. He had no case.
I mean, no substantial case.
He had the expectation beyond realist belief that given it up pressure, some sort of done to find pressure.
I would give him the easy way out. I would confess to whatever it was he wanted me to confess to.
I think he made some restilplied that.
I think it's interesting to note that following my arrest in Pensacola, Florida, in February of 1978,
that he had no blinking, no blinking, being special prosecutor from Colorado,
and has bring to the side to the camp of case immediately for the Pensacola.
And we're present when I was being interrogated by the police in Pensacola.
But oddly enough, or maybe not so oddly enough, I'm not sure.
But nevertheless, he never showed his face.
I mean, I never knew he was there, and he would never have made me wear his presence there.
Later, when I was transferred to the talent happy, he too was talent happy.
It was present thirty.
So I guess what comes to Michael Fisher, what you could say is that he was devoted, dedicated to my conviction of me and the case and the murder of.
Karen Campbell, but he was powerless really to do anything about it.
And this frustration must have worked on him in some way.
And it also might be said of Michael Fisher that he was absolutely convinced.
And it's all mine that is responsible for that.
Getting close to the other team, but if I don't, then by myself, I'm going to run out of tape.
You can take your tail and come, go on.
I'm going to get it right.
I'm going to flip it over now to the side too.
Now what the hell, let me keep on going to see how far.
What is this thing that we're buzzing?
I need to see a wreck.
I need to see a sketch.
I don't like it a sketch for recording all these tapes.
I'm going to see a sketch tape.
Yeah, the real me is a caption of real me.
You just got to start recording some of the conversations.
You can hear Illinois and you'll look at a different side of dead bunny.
I'm sure.
And then what a pound.
Full conversation.
We really lose a clip for an eye.
I want you to get that to that eye.
Time, time, time.
Well, now these things never run out what I want to run out.
That's why they both aren't sensitive to that eye anyway.
So you're going to be able to run.
