Scope and content:

In this series, the topics range from abortion and education to transportation and medical treatments. The abortion files display the different opinions of senators along with Dunne’s personal beliefs pertaining to the issue. The education files discuss different practices and initiatives to advance Long Island schools and school districts. The medical files discuss the requirements to receive different medical assistance programs such as Medicaid.

There is also a significant amount of correspondence contained in the series. These include requests to and from constituents to debriefs pertaining to different meetings. Researchers who are interested in both Dunne’s personal and professional contacts would find correspondence files in this collection especially useful.
