TUTHILL, Marvin James

Tuthill, a l3-year-old Cathedral City, Calif., plumber had lived

with a 39-year-old Cathedral City nurse, Mrs. Uharlotte A. “everly,
in a common-law relationship. When Mrs. Beverly left him mn Decem-=
ber, 1946, she moved into a Cathedral City motor court. On Jan. 1,
LON as she and a friend were entering the court, Tuthill shot her
in the back of the head with a .22 caliber rifle. Convicted, Tut-
hill was executed in San Quentin's gas chamber on Jan. 28, 191)9.
