The following is from NATIONAL POLICE GAZETTE, 5-7-1881-
Page 7-l: "William Young, the murderer of Joseph Dwenger,
suffered the extreme penalty of the law for his crime at
Silver City, Ne M. William Young was born in New York City
served three years in the 37th New York Regiment and was
wounded twice, He mintained that he was innocent to the
last. When on the scaffold he made one request to the
