Love of hangman fame is dead here. He was for many years
official hangman of Jefferson County, Ala., and has adjust:
ed the noose about the necks of 27 men. The last man exe~
cuted by Love was Frank Duncan (on 1125-1901), the noted
outlaw who escaped from jail after the death sentence had
