Ex Date: 8-4-1814

Details: A slave belonging to Col. William Boone

Mitchell. Hanged and beheaded at the St.
Paul's Parish crossroads for the murder of his over-
seer, Mr. Wright. His severed head was set on a pole
there. Condemned by a Freeholder's court at 9:00 AM
and executed at noon. Three other slaves were lashed
