VANDALSEN, William .

"Louisville, Kye, 1-19-1906-William Vandalsen, a white
man aged 23, was hanged here this morning for the murder
of Miss Fannie Porter last #all, Vandalsen occupied his
time in jail by making toys, among them being a miniature
gallows with a body suspended. For this he received an

offer from a Kansas City man but declined it and gave the
trinket to a jail steward,"
