Moore, a 23-year-old hotel porter in Ashville, N. C., de-
cided to rob some of the guests in his hotel the night of
July 16, 1936. The door to the room of 18-year-old
college student Helen Clevenger was unlocked and he went
in thinking that she was out, When she discovered him,
he shot and killed her, Convicted, he was electrocuted
in North Carolina's electric chair on December Wy 1936.
