bursed for #500 on August 3, 1830,

"MURDER-An atrocious murder was committed in this city on
Sunday night last, on the body of Jas. Drummond. We have
been favored with a sight of the verdict given by the in-
cuest held by the coroner, which states that he was shot
in the head by Daniel, a slave, the property of Robert G.
Scott, Esq.e, of this city, Daniel has been arrested, and
is now in jail. - RICHMOND ENQUIRER, May 25, 1830." COUK-
