BARTHOLOMEW, William He :

Executed April 9, 1890; Northampton Co., Fae; for the
murder of Aaron Washington Dilliard, a farmer aged 0;
was enamoured of victim's wife who was also sentenced
to death but was commuted by Governor Beaver to life
imprisonment; killer's wife had died under mysterious
ciréumstances; wictim wished to move to western part
of state to get his wife away from Bartholomew; vic-
tim was shot twenty times; killer attempted suicide be-
fore being sentenced; "his last words were curses and
blasphemy"; crime occurred in Moore Eownships; warrant
