Mosley, : a 1 7ayear-ola white Centerburg, Ohio, ‘farmer-who
was a veteran of the Rainbow Division in World War I where
he had been gassed and wounded in the battle of the Argonn
Forrest, beat and shot his wife, Philla, to death at their
farm home on March 31, 1938. Mosley admitted killing his
wife, but maintained that he did not remember the circum
stances. He was convicted of first degree murder and
found sane after a ten-day examination at the Lima State
Hospital. On Nov. 30, 1938, he calmly went to his death
