Hanged, New Orleans, La,, on Feb, 2, 1855,
"William Young, or Jung, the German murderer, who was to
have been hung on Friday next (Feb. 2, 1855) for the mr-
der of a little orphan boy, Christian Rhem, by ill treat-
ment of a most horrible kind, and since his sentence has
astonished the world by his wonderful powers for eat ing
bread and meat and drinking coffee, last night, about
9 @' clock, cut his throat from ear to ear with a penknife
and, at the time we went to press, was dying. (Quoting
