"June 15, 1750: On Tuesday last at the Court of
Oyer & Terminer held in Williamsburg, William
Simmons, Nicholas Meads, and George Afflax were
tried for the murder of their master, Col, Pres=
sy. The two former were acquitted and the lat-
ter being found guilty, received sentence of
death. We are also informed from Northumberland
County that a negro Bh who was aiding and abet-
ting in the murder of Vol, Pressy has been sen-

tenced to be hanged, drawn and quartered,"
