Lewis, 19-years-old, McCarthy, 2l-years-old, and Tomaselli
25=years-old, all white, were convicted of the murder of
lerbert Parsell, a 53-year-old ruard at the Wethersfeld
State Prison in an escape attempte Tomaselli had been
convicted of burglary; Lewis of the hold-up slaying of

a 77-year-old New Britain man in 19, and McCarthy of
the hold-up murder of a 35-year-old man in Danbury, Gott-
fried Seegel, by stabbing him 10 times, The guard left a
wife and two children. The three men were electtoctthed at
the Connecticut StatePrison (Hartford Co,) on Oct. 1, 1916
