REDMOND, Louis, black, hanged at Hazlehurst, Miss., on
April SY, 1881, for the murder of his father-in-law,
Nélson Les, two years previoulsy. A mob of blaé¢ks
sought to lynch him. First conviction appeal resulted
in new trial. Second conviction & death sentence
affirmed.
