"Millddgeville, Gae, 3-1-1935-Two negroes convicted of th
slaying of a Thomson, Ga., merchant were electrocuted at —
the state prison today. ‘Superintendent Rollie Lawrence
of the prison, said both the negroes, John Wright and
Rack Reese, claimed just before they went to the chair
that they were innocent of the murder. The men had been
convicted of the slaying of Jim Black Stone. ‘Both men
told me before they went to the chair that they had been
lying all along about having attacked the merchant, and
that they were innocent,’ Mr. Lawrence said. He said two
shocks were applied to Reese and three to Wright, and
that both men were dead in only a few mimtes after the
shocks were applied. Mr. Stone was waylaid by two men x
