On Oct. 11, 1895, for the attempted rape of
Annie Fogarty, a white minor, on 9-7-1895;

He was a fugitive at the time of the crime;

He had previously served five years in the

Va. state Pen, for train wrecking, He had
raped a woman in Bedford Couny and was running
from the law for that; tried and condemned
within four days of crime; He admitted hi
