/on May 17, 1927 (Samden), ‘Camden, N. J., Auge 1, 1926-
| Penniless and whit his nearest rélative, hss brother, liv-
ing In Germany, Paul W. Feursten, former leader of the Cam«
den Philharmonic Orchestra, was taken to the state prison
at Trenton today to be electrocuted there the week of Sep.
20 for the mrder of Mrs, Harriet Vickers. The crime for
which the former orchestra leader was convicted yesterday
was committed June 29, when he shot Mrs. Vickers, the
mother of two young children, during a quarrel in his
apartment. Before she died Mrs, Vickers said he shot her
because she refused to elope with him to Germany, On the
stand yesterday Fuersten said that Mrs. Vickers had taun-
ted him because he had failed to give her a diamond ring,
He said he had been drinking heavily and did not know why
