where it was not necessary to prove ownership and then take them in-

Fischer, one of the gangmembers, had double-crossed him and the
others by acting on his own and stealing some cars which he had dis-
posed of himself and not through the out On the night of March 5,

automobile which he had stolen and turned over to the ring. Bubna,
aware that Fischer had previously dauble-crossed him, refused to pay

threatening him. Bubna then beat Fischer and dragged him into the
cellar where, after tying him to a chair, he and his sister, Millie
Thomas tortured him by beating him and burning him with cigarettes.
Bubna finally administered the coupe de grace by shooting Eischer
in the head five times. He then ordered one of the other members of
the gang to dispose of the body and he drove it out to a suburban
golf course and buried it in a mound of dirtg The stolen car that
was used to transport got stuck in the md, and the driver had to

get a tow truck to pull it out. When the body was discovered the
