August 11, 1909-William Webb, negro, was this afternoon
convicted of criminal as sault upon Mrs, RA}XRKOKRX Exy
Brown of Vinings, several weeks ago, and was sentenced to
hanged on Sept. 17, 1909, To prevent a possibly lynching,
he was rushed to Atlanta ontrain and will remain there
until day of execution,"
