mental rudiments of an education and learned to read and write, He
married at an early age but in 1883 his wife left him for anothermman
and he moved to Caddo Prarie about thirty miles north of Shreveport
where he lived with his KKXKMKK half-brother and sister-in-law. He
soon began having an affair with Alsie Dollard, a young gir] who lived

became pregnant and the 60-year-old Allen forbade Harrison to see her
again, The couple continued to meet secretly and one day when her
parents were gone, Alsie left the house with all of her clothing and

turned and found her missing, they surmised what had happened and Mrs,
Allen forced her to return home where she chastised her, That night
