Slave KING May 12, 1640.

Henrico County, Virginia, March 6, 1848, King,
a Slave of the Estate of Claiborne W. Gooch,
murdered Moses, a slave of John B. Younes. Val-
ued at $600,00 and sentenced to be hanged on
April 14, 1848. Dep. Sh. Thomas W. Dowell
attests that he hanged King on May 12, 1848,

so the slave was evidently respited to that
date,
