According to the Natchez, MS, WEEKLY COURIER of Wax
Nove 24, 1857, the death sentences of slaves Ned and
Taylor, Yazoo County, were affirmed by the Mississippi
Supreme Court and a date of execution was set for Dec.
18, 888 1857.
Compensation was paid to W. M. Pickett in January, 1858,
for slaves Ned and Taylor, executed Yazoo County.
