DELGADILLO, Demecio
Delgadillo, a 28-year-old Mexican National, was a native of Chihua-
hua. In 1912, he moved to Albuquerque, N. M., where he obtained em-
ployment 2&Xat a lumber mill. On the night of Sept. 21, 1912, he
was seen in the company of Mrs, Soledad Larrazino de Pino. When
her body was found in her home on Mountain Road the next morning,
police immediately began searching for Delgadillo and he was taken
into custody at Los Iunas on Sept, 23. Mrs, Larrazino de Pino had
been shot with a .38 caliber pistol and Delgadillo had one in his
possession with one chamber fired at the time of his arrest, He
denied that he had killed the woman but was convicted on circumstan-
tial evidence and sentenced to die. He was hanged in the yard of
the County Jail on May 16, 1913, before a crowd of about fifty men
and boys, His last words were: "I am not guilty. Xa@ I did not
kill that woman,"
