29eyear-old white man, electrocuted Indiana State Prison
(Lake County) on Jan. 30, 1925. Had kidnapped and mur-
dered 9-year-old Anna Tomiscich on Sept. 9, 192h.

Child taken from in front of home on Washington Street
Body was buried in shallow grave in sand wastes near
Tolleston, Vergolini had only one visitor during con-
finement = his brother, H3#XHX Slept until minutes before
execution which was shortly after mindnight. Went to
death calmly and unafraid, saying nothing,
