Black, born August 31, 1961, aged 31, executed Texas
State Prisen (Brazos County) on July 1, 1993. Was 17

at crime. With brother, Danny Ray Harris, also sentenced
to die, Murdered Timothy Michael Merke of Bray in X&%
December 11, XBR8XXXBZ 1978. Merka stopped to aid the
brothers who had car trouble & they bludgeoned him to
death and robbed him. Accomplices Valerie Rencher &
James Charles Manuel sentenced to prison. They were all
drinking & smokihg marijuana
