Negro Jack May 11, 1827

Offence: Highway Robbery

Location: Princess Anne Co.

Ex Date: 5=11=1827

Details: Accomplice of Negro George who was exec-

uted on 10-6-26. Jack escaped then. He
was subsequently recaptured and hanged pursuant to his
original sentence. He does not appear on the State Aud-
itor's listing of executed slaves because his compen-
sation had already been paid out under the classificat-
ion of 'escapee' by the time of his recapture.
