lating to Presley’ Ss murder..." and the following foot-
note to this entry: "'0On Friday last James McGuire for
murder and William Simmons for robbery (supposed an
accomplice in the murder of Col, Presley) were executed
in this city, They both behaved penitently, and con-
fessed the facts for twhich they died,’ VIRGINIA GAZETTE,
Jan. 24, 1751. Col. Presley thus mention was Col} Peter
presley, of Ey House,' who wasmurdered b
