County negro, was electrocuted at 12: 13 AM in the Hunts-
ville stateprison for the murder a year ago of his conmon=
law wife, The Negro was convicted in Judge Henry King's

Affirmed: 162 SOUTHWESTERN -2nd= 978, Date of Crime was
9=15-19)]1, The following is evidently the case: "Petonia
Mayflower, 3h, of 2640 Ashworth, was killed instantly as
she slept at her house at 3 AM Monday. A man fired at her
three times with a shotgun, Three other persons living in
the house narrowly escaped injurye Following the shooting
the man fled and has eluded the police. The body was taken

in charge by the Lone Star Funeral Home for Negroes." NEWS
