3C, on 4-2-1875 for the gunshot-murder of

HS Butler Goldson on 11-22-1874; Goldson sus-
pected Auld of being intimate with his wife,

On the day of the gurder he picked a fight with
Aulid in the street and Auld drew a pistol and
shot him. Auld, who had no prior record, was

a freedman of Dr. N. F. Kirkland of Barnwell Co,
