Wilson, a white man, was a native of New York State where he had been
jailed several times and had Served 4 term-in Sing Sing before mi-
grating west and settling in Lincoln Cosy Ne Mey where he obtained
employement on a ranch owned by Robert “aseys: After Wilson left

ber of a corrupt gang of politicians, On August 1, 1875, Casey and
others met in Lincoln in a convention to attempt to oust the corrupt

30-day respite granted by the Governor, but he was hanged in Lincoln
on December 12, 1875, before a large crowd of people, After his
